Corey & I recently purchased rollerblades with hopes that we could one day be steady enough on the rollerblades to take the dogs with us. Well, after a few practice runs around the neighborhood, learning to balance on the skates, Daredevil Corey decided he was ready to try it out with the doggies.

SafetyGirl Melinda chose to ride her bicycle in front of them, in case there was an accident, and someone needed to run back to the house to call 911. But as you can see, Corey's first rollerblading session with the dogs went really well - no accidents or injuries! And the dogs LOVED it!
Corey & I especially loved it, because the dogs got tired much more quickly than when we just walk with them. It is so difficult to wear out these dogs! Especially Hattie (a.k.a. "the beast"). She's like the Energizer Bunny. She just keeps going and going and going...
But right now, she is curled up in Daddy's lap, falling asleep. So maybe, just maybe, we've found an activity that will burn some of her energy more quickly! And it's good exercise for us, as well!
